No year-long commitment.

Term One is the first twelve weeks of A Year of Music: the same curriculum, in a size you can actually say yes to on a Tuesday night.

Each week gives you one piece of music, a short piece of context worth knowing, and a simple way in for children who don't play an instrument and may never want to. There is nothing to practise. Nobody performs anything. You listen together, and then you talk about it.

What's inside:

12 weekly lessons, each one about fifteen minutes

A curated listening piece every week, with the story behind it

Discussion prompts that work for a six-year-old and a twelve-year-old at the same table

Printable listening pages for children who like something in their hands

No instrument, no prior musical knowledge, and no ability to read music required, from you or from them

Who it's for: homeschooling families who want music in the week and haven't found a way to make it stick. Families who tried lessons and watched them turn into a fight. It won't teach your child to play. It teaches them to listen, which is the part almost every music education skips. We ask children to perform before we've ever given them anything to hear.

If Term One works for your family, the full 52-week Essentials Edition picks up exactly where it leaves off.

Delivered instantly as a digital download.
